Any of ya'all ever eat paw paw fruit? My property is loaded with the pawpaw trees and I got to looking and I have several with fruit on them. They are also called the Indiana Banana. We cut them up and put in homemade ice cream. I was wondering if anyone else has ever eat them. They should be ripe in the next couple of weeks. Randy |

Love me some Paw Paw! My place in IL has several trees and it's always something to look forward to. Never tried it in ice cream, though. |

Randy, you ever seen 5 catfish with their heads under one rock? All our rivers are LOW and clear. I was drifting and catching smallmouth and drifted over a big, undercut rock and I saw 5 tails sticking out. When the shadow hit the rock they bolted. I guess that's the only dark, cool spot on the river. |

I would guess they are hitting the shade. Shame you did not catch them and cook'em up. I am flat wore out catching and cleaning catfish. My pawpaws are still firm and waiting on them to soften up for some home made pawpaw ice cream. Randy |

It's been a frustrating year for the rivers. Three ramps are closed right now. Makes floating in the canoe tough and the good cat holes are impossible to get to even in the jet. Knocked a hole in the intake foot last trip out. Had it welded and the river dropped another foot. I'll wait until Sept/ Oct and hit them when we're goose hunting. |
