Don's Specialty Meats is right off I-10. But they are west of Lafayette. Are you passing that way? |

Yeah and their pork chop sandwich was already on my list of things to eat on this trip... Keep 'em comin - I am lookin forward to some good eats on this trip... I also hear BestStop is near there too.... |

Went thru there just last Thursday and Friday .... No doubt 'bout it .... Stop at Don's ... only fo the Shake and git plenty ... bestess stuff thay is fo Pork or Chicken .... Then go north of the freeway at the same exit 'bout 1 mile or so .... and on the left you'll see Best Stop .... thats where you git yore Boudain ..... AND ..... What I just typed is a ....... Matr-Fact !!!!!

Hebert's in maurice is witout a doubt da best Specialty Meats store in Louisiana, in my opinion, but it is a little ways from I-10. However der is Benoit's in Addis on La 1, just South of I-10, before you cross da river into da Metrosexual City of Baton Rouge. |

Best Stop Smoked Boudin!!!! You have to get the smoked. Walk in the door and go to the coolers straight in front of you on the back wall.That is the frozen stuff. The smoked is in the last door on the end towards the drink coolers. |

See what places are on this site along your route and pick a few. Then you will be able to compare. Usually once a week we get a vendor that comes in and brings cracklins and boudin from Billeaud's Meat and Grocery out of Broussard. It's a bit out of your way, but good to keep them in mind if you are ever going down Hwy 90 South of Lafayette. |

Best in South Louisiana is Bourgeois Meat Market in Thibodaux, hands down can not be beat. In Baton Rouge I like Ronnies Boudain and Cracklin House on Florida Blvd. |
