this past weekend for the Whole Hog catagory :D
We didnt win the overall grandchampion but winning whole hog is bigtime !

Cant take a single bit of credit for it, I wasnt there, our sitter crapped out on us and I had something come up with work but my wife was there.

Congrats. My wife and I are going to Lawrence this next weekend for the above Kansas City BBQ Society cook off. That is a bunch of money ta via for. The KC Chief's cheerleaders will be there. Yea.

Do you all travel the circuit to compete?

To be held at The Wyandotte County Park at Capitol Federal Park @ Sandstone in Bonner Springs, KS.The Great American’s fifth year anniversary expects to have 275 cooking teams vying for $73,000 in prize money. The GAB will be held on Memorial Day weekend:

Friday May 22nd: Public gates open Noon-10PM
Saturday May 23rd: Public gates open 10AM-10PM
Sunday May 24th: Public gates open 11AM-9PM

beef aint BBQ, and this is the World Championship BBQ Contest.

the team does travel, mainly on the MBN tour and a few times a year on the KC tour.

Yah I need to call Ole Forrest and tell him Im a world champ now :lol: I did talk to him about a month ago, seemed in good spirts. Still talking about that hot blonde gal in prison for life. :lol:
