Need some help guys. I have eaten crawfish at different places but never boiled myself. I am wanting to get some this weekend and cook em up. Need some advise.
Is there something that I need to do before putting the in the boil?
Is there a rule of thumb for how many pounds to get for people? I am planning on doing corn and potatoes as well.
What is the best crab boil to get?

Beans and Jalapeno's are a must for boil.

Also mix in some artichokes and maybe some carrots.

;) ;) ;)

If you get really brave, steam them with some Old Bay

Clean dem by just rinsing dem in Ice chest full of water, drain water and fill again. repeat untill water come out clear. Pond crawfish will need more cleaning than spillway.

i use a bag of chackbay seasoning for the veggies, keep the same water and when i take the veggies out i add a big ass jar of zatarans extra spicy and when u got ur rolling ball time 6 mins and shut it down, let em soak with the lid off and keep ur ice chest open when u take em out so they dont over cook. remember its not a crawfish ball unless u ball onion, potatoes, jalepenos, garlic, sausage, mushrooms, a lil redfish, and colliflower
