Can y'all get Old New Orleans Rum in Texas? We can't here in Alabama. If so, I recommend that you go out, right now, and buy a bottle. The 3 year old and the spice are fantastic. |

I get it at Winn Dixie stores whenever I'm in the New Orleans area. They have it for $22 - $27 a bottle (750 ml). Plus, I usually go to several stores and buy up what they have in the 3 year old and spice. If they don't offer it in your state, you can order it from Drink Up NY -- http://www.drinkupny.com/SearchResults. ... Search.y=0 I haven't tried the mail order route yet because I have been able to bootleg enough to get me through between Louisiana visits. Their website is http://www.oldneworleansrum.com |

I'm telling you, Kook, go buy you a bottle of the Spice and a 2 Liter Coke for this evening. If you don't like it, I will refund your money. Post up your thoughts this evening. |

How's it compare to something like Bacardi? Bacardi and tonic was my drink for about five years. |

I'm still at work, so you could be drinking wine coolers, and I'd be envious. I keep telling my boss I weld better when I'm drunk, but he doesn't buy it. Something about ISO proceedures and aircraft engine parts. |

well, I'm not sure about the availability at your local store, but NY certainly has the ability to get it (unlike Alabama). You might want to make a call to your local store and inquire. If they don't have it, ask them to get it for you. In the meantime, you can order it from www.drinkupny.com and get it delivered. |

Jon, If you like aged rum ... try some of these. ![]() ![]() I usually order rum from . I've always had good service ... & their prices are usually the most inexpensive. El Dorado 15yr - Guyana El Dorado 21yr - Guyana Flor de Cana 18 yr - Nicaragrua Flor de Cana 21 yr - Nicaragua Ron Anejo Anniversario - Venezuela Ron Zacapa Centenario 23yr - Guatemala Zaya 12 yr - Trinidad That will keep any rum afficianado busy for a couple of months. I can't pick a favorite from that list ... they are all good ... but, with different attributes. The Ron Zacapa & Zaya are probably the smoothest ... with the 21 yr rums being the most flavorful. All of them are on the "heavy" side with molasses. ![]() |

I'm a Crown and Coke dude myself, but I've had some Capt. Morgan's with ginger-ale before and it was good. |
