Your biggest problem is probably your oil temp.

If it is too low it won't stick.

Batter it twice.
First batter should be a wet batter I like to mix my fish/shrimp fry wit beer.
After dat batter it wit just your dry batter.

This one looks pretty good, i'll try it and let ya'll know. Something a little different than the old flour/Mrs. Dash/garlic salt.

Went to a party last night and the host and hostess were a little tipsy- bordering on deerunk. We brought a pork tenderloin to put on the grill.
They were dipping bratwurst in buttermilk, cornmeal, jalapeno, cayenne, grated onion, and making cornbrats. Absolutely friggin awesome until the first coronary. Well, they got to deep drying everything in the kitchen.
Onion rings
Pork tenderloin that was cooked on the grill
Grilled hamburgers
Pickles

They stopped at strawberries.
