Tiss the season for ducks to be out and the geese aren't here yet, so I'm taking my boy on a squirrel hunt this morning! I have been day dreaming about a recipe to pressure cook a half dozen. Bread like fried chicken and brown the hell out of em till half done put a layer in cooker, then a layer of apple slices and onion, then tree rat....repeat till pot is full cook till meat falls off bone You think this will work or am I making a disaster??? ![]() |

Season them up. Brown them really good. Then add onions bell pepper and garlic. Brown all that good. Then once it's all brown put in in the oven for 3hrs at 325 Do this in a black pot |

They turned out to be the best I've erer had!! Pan fried em till golden brown, then layered em up on a big ole pile of sliced onions in the pressure cooker and let em go for 1 hour. Used the drippings from pan fryin for gravy. They were so tender it was hard to pick up a leg without the meat starting to fall off! Gonna take the boy out after a couple rabbits this weekend, they should be just as good! |
