Thay has to be a better way to git bait in January other than the purchace !!!!! Any ideas out there ???? I can run traps and git ....... a few ...... but what cha'll thank ????? |

Cut Croaker. If it's got a fin and an eyeball, it will eat cut croaker. Freshwater or salt, hell a rainbow trout in Montana will eat cut croaker. |

I buy live perch by the pound from a fish farm.Keep them in a horse trough until summer when i can catch them in traps.You have fish farms around? |

Them catalpus work real good on early sprang Channels !!!! Rite now I'm after the ......... BluesCruise !!!!! (HyFin) We gots fishfarms 'round us ..... but thay be havin' small frys rite now !!! Gots a 20lbs and a 15lbs off the line 'fo Church Service last Sunday morn !!! Gots to git me some DrumFish caught fo cutt !!! Some of you fellers be callin' them ..... GasBeGuise .... or somethin' like that !!!!!!! |

Mines Z71 piece of junk is out in the front yard rites now broke down ...... the good news is that it made it home !!!! Started makin' all kinds of racket from the front end area last week. I took it down to the repair shop and told them boys that I thank it is the disc pads. Thay turned the rotors and put the new pads on and now the noise has increased and I be gittin' intermenment tiller torque to the right !!!! Pardner tellin' me he thanks it mite be the balljoint. Wouldn't know why ....... 180,000 of nuthin' but love miles !!!!! Anyways ~ that Pick-Up (unk of junk) is a dark blue !!!!  Ifin anybody out there needs a 2005 wore out Chevy ..... I gots you one !!! Ain't hardly nothin' works on it no mo' !!! |

We needs some rain so I can catch me some crawfish to bait me some hooks. I like to use crawfish and cut perch for highfins. |

I throw drum back into the river by the ton. Brooks drive on up my way and we will stock your freezer. Bring your mittens though. River at 31' today and will be back at 15' in five days. High today 40 degrees. Back into 20/30 's tomorrow. Water temp 35-36 degrees. Boat still on water. Randy |

LOL on yore boat NetMans !!!!!! I was tellin' mines brother and buddys 'bout yore delima up there on yore river !!! We cain't figure out how ya'lls do it .... other than ya'lls just alot tuffer than we are !!!!!  Our HyFins bit pretty good Friday nite and not so good Saturday nite. We did manage enough fo everyone to git tired of cleanin' em. Freezer is now in good shape and that presure of findin' bait is now off. We ended up buyin' some (13 dollas per lbs) and catchin' some (perch in a throw net). Seen mo DuckBirds Saturday than we had all of DuckBird season !!!! Guess all the cold weather has finnally pushed a few our way. Dang shame seasons closed !!! |

Brooks I got my boat out yesterday with no hitches. The river got up to 31' and I pulled my four wheeler to my buddys house and my other buddy pulled my boat trailer. I hooked the boat trailer up to my four wheeler and went to a private ramp that was now flooded [owner in Florida]  and backed my trailer in and slipped the boat on it. When I got the rig over to the incline my buddy hooked a 200' rope to the back of his truck and to my four wheeler and he pulled the four wheeler and boat/trailer up the hill. And just as we were about to leave a big flock of bluebills landed on the river near us. Good day! I catch alot of hyfins in my hoop nets when I bait with cottonseed meal. Randy |

Hey Brooks. They done closed the gates up on the lake spillway. I saw a big pool of 3-5" landlocked shad. Gonna get me some bait in the am if they still there.
