i got a mr. twister piranna; after a few fish it wants to quit and damn thing gets hot as hell for my hand. what type electric knives have been standing up for yall. someone told me just to buy like a cuisine-art electric knife and be done with it b/c the gears are heavier and they last a lot longer..... anyone heard of this??? |

I've used the mister twister and burned them up. The american angler has lasted longer for me but will still burn up. Plastic gears, what do you expect. |

that's what i figured. but just trying to get a better one for your buck type thing. i might wound up going back to just a regular fillet knife. |

for de price of dem electric units you can buy an assortment of Dexter Russels and a good sharpener. I have been using those for years and prefer em' over any electric knife! my .02 FWIW! |

what would be a good fixed blade lenth? i know usually the longer it is the more flexible it is too. 7", 8", 9" ![]() just to clean trouts and reds not to handle any offshore fish. |
