Fished in a Tournament over the weekend in Galveston and ended up landing a nice 27 3/4" 7# Redfish. Caught it on a root beer gulp jerk shad. It held up and was good enough for 1st place :mrgreen:

We were fishing for Smallies with a local guide on a scouting trip. he would let us hook a fish or two per hole and then move on. He was trying to get a pattern down for paying clients.
We hit one hole and my buddy hooks a 5lber. Hog. Fish is kicking his ass and CK (the guide) is yelling at him to get the "gawdamn fish in the raft" my buddy says "I gotta play him out a little bit"
CK says "gawdammit boy, get him in the boat and we'll all play with him" :lol:
