I know some of y'all Cajuns got to have a good BBQ shrimp recipe. If you do and wouldn't mind sharing I'd greatly appreciate it.

Was going to type it out, but this is it. From the cotton country cookbook. Work's well with cut up chicken, as well as duck. No need to change it, but we occasionally make some edits (mince garlic, cook in olive oil, dump on top. We also use different hot sauces than the Tabasco sometimes, and use more than just a little bit of pepper)

If you peel the shrimp before cooking, they cook a tad faster, but soak up a bit more flavor. Just means you're peeling then for everyone, not just yourself lol

Peel shrimp and season with tonys , cut a pound of bacon in half, take half slice of bacon and wrap around shrimp. Take bacon wrapped shrimp and stick a toothpick or put on skew, cook on pit till bacon is done, slap on some bbq sause. Enjoy!

Both of you gents posted a couple very good recipes for grilled shrimp. Bbq shrimp doesn't follow what we generally call bbq. It's a dish typically broiled with lots of butter, seasoning and a good french bread is used to soak up the buttery seasoning to get your mouth.

Cb. Call it broiled shrimp if you want to, but I suggest trying it. I didn't get to this fighting weight eating bologna and hot dogs.
da, it's not bbq sauce, and it puts fried shrimp to shame.

Well as mentioned earlier...bbq shrimp isn't
Nessicarily BBQ shrimp. But give these two recipes a try...
1- take a Large peeled shrimp(you can leave just the last knuckle of the tail on if
You would like), wrap it in bacon with a Cajun chef jalipino and a piece of cream cheese. Cook on indirect heat to avoid flare up until bacon is crisp. Before u take off pit...take a spoon of pepper jelly and place it on shrimp. Let it melt and remove from grill.
2- with peelings on shrimp, place in pan. Cut up a stick or two of butter and put in pan. Season liberally with Tex joy bbq rub. Add 2-3 spoons of mince garlic, squeeze a half a lemon, and few dabs of Leon Perrin. I also use about 1/2 a cap full of crabboil. Cover with tin foil.
