My purple hulls are coming on strong. I went out to dig onions today, and the beautiful Miss Ranger got after picking, shelling, and cooking up a mess of purple hull field peas. Put a little fatback, a fresh sweet onion, and you have meal. I even got a little cornbread and beef to go along with it. It was good enough to make you want to slap grandma twice on Sunday. |

Got my first batch of onions curing in the sun. There aint much in the world of vegetables that does not become edible with a onion added. |
