2-3 lbs per person is what they say. but we usually go 4-5lbs.
you get more meat off of shrimp than you do with crawfish. sheet around here people eat a lot more than that though.

4-5Lbs should be a good number for ya

This is the trick!!Advertise a shrimp boil,Serve potatoes, corn, mushrooms and all the other shit and let them eat on that while you are boiling your shrimp!!AND add some extra pepper to the shrimp to make them hot as hell and over cook them so they are hard as hell to peel!!You can then count on about 1 lb per person

In the past I have usually only done about 2 lbs per person. Some will eat alot more, some will eat less and some won't eat at all. Shrimp are to expensive for 5lbs a person.

We boil about 4-5 lbs per person and if there are any left over, we peel and save for later. Makes for a kick a$$ omelet the next morning.
