I spend a month away on a drillship and just about kills me to leave my wife and two little boys. I have the utmost respect for our troops. My neighbor has been gone since Sept of last year and he is finally getting RR next week. God bless our troops and their families. Just when you think life gets hard you look at what they give up for us. Give thanks and by God mean it when you look at a soldier or shake his or her hand when you say thank you.

Nothing feels better than to have those little arms wrapped tight around your neck. A big thanks to our service men and women!

Ok i can not watch this at work. Too tuff to watch when i have expieranced the feeling myself. 13 yrs of service= 3 aircraft carriers 4 yrs of float time i have been around the world just about 4 times. i have been on many deployments. and i still can not sit through videos like this one. i am very proud of my fellow brothers and sisters that are still fighting the fight. I have now been out for 3 yrs and miss it every day. that is all. Thank you to those standing the watch.

That's the joy of little kids. I have teen boys...they'll be glad to see me, but it doesn't get better than that.
