As some here know, I took a trip 2 weeks ago to visit my son at Ft Hood just to spend some time with him prior to being deployed. After talking a bit he mentioned that he will more than likely be deployed to Camp Taji. Today he confirmed it, his bird is already enroute and he will be leaving April 20th. On another note, while down there I also visited with my wife's cousin and her husband (Kevin also) who just returned for a 3 week R&R from over there. He stated that overall things have greatly improved in the area he is stationed, and although he was heading back over on the 28th he is also looking forward to his reassignment to Ft Carson, Co when he returns the next time. Kevin has been bouncing back and fourth over there for 5 tours of the 10 years he has been stationed at Ft. Hood. May they and others be safe, this isn't going to end soon. |

My thoughts and prayers are with him. I have been to Iraq twice if you have any questions about how depolyments go or anything military just ask i have been in the Marine Corps for 6yrs and i can get out in June if i want to. Its hard to leave a family, like a military family, we are a band of brothers. |
