There are an average of 37,711 fatalities due to automobile crashes each year over the last 7 years - http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/811642.pdf


So even though we are one of the most heavily armed countries in the world, we still have over 3 times as many people die each year due to automobile crashes than firearm related homicides. I looked it up, just thought I'd share.

and look at all the regulations on automobiles now, air bags, traction control, anti lock brakes, frames built to absorb impacts etc...as well as laws that are supposed to make it safer like drinking and driving laws and seat belt laws etc......and better roads and tires.......
