Ranger school has a standard on what it takes to pass patrols. There is subjectivity in it as everything else BUT RIs we supposed to stay within 30-70 pass rate outside of that CofC starts digging into them keeping a closer eye out, observing them while on patrol etc. checks and balances as you will. There is a board process at CO, BN and BDE level before a stud is released from Ranger School. Based on the scrutiny there is a 99.9 % they failed to meet the standards set forth in the BSOP which governs the pass, recycle or release policy in RAnger School.
