True the revolutionary war was primarly fought over the taxes that the British crown imposed upon the colonies. Currently the taxes that our government imposes upon us are much higher that the taxes that the Brits imposed upon the colonies. Maybe it is time to fight a new war.

What killed me in the ruling was the justice's statement to the effect that it is not the courts responsibility to protect us (the people) from the policies and politicions we elect.....WHAT!!!

That is exactly what thier damn job is. There are 3 branches of government to do exactly what he said they dont do, its called Checks and Balances. So they might be all ivy leage educated but they sure arent smart.

You dont need to go to some fancy law school to understand the constitution, I've seen it in person, read it (its in plain english btw),carry it in my pocket most days and undertand its meaning just fine. Its lawyers IMO who try to twist the words to fit thier arguments that mess it up.

And let me just say that most people arguing for this healthcare law have no clue what they are talking about simply b/c they dont deal with the issues every day. And b/c you do or do not have insurance does not make my self or anyone completely qualified to grasp what this law is doing to healthcare.
As a Registered nurse working in a critical care unit at a top 100 hospital in the nation I can tell you first hand 3 things for certain.
1. this health law will fail w/o a doubt if it remains in place as is b/c it can not be sustained monitarily
2. Health care in this country will eventually decline to that of 3rd world country in a decade, especially for the majority of Us on this site, the poor will still get excellent care as they always have.
3. the same dregs of society that are w/o healthcare are so b/c they choose to be and will continue to do so no matter what.

and if you dont believe me, I have lots of stories to explain why, or you could just stroll through my unit.
