Anyone know what a retired Army Colonel makes? A Colonel gets paid $8797 per month when they hit 20 years of service. Then they go into the private sector and can make lots more without affecting their retirement. What the article quoted above fails to mention is that the formula for determining how much to pay for health insurance versus Tricare is a means test. Which means, the average military person will see absolutely not increase or change in his health benefits at all. Fact check!! |

Barnes: I respect your political views, but I'm not sure what is your point. You agree with me that the health insurance vs tricare adjustments will not make much of a difference at all? Or that this is just a socialist ploy? I definitely agree with you that we should distribute more of the wealth to the lower ranking military personnel. I don't think anyone can disagree with that. |
