Guess nothing surprises me anymore with these idiots.

Hopefully Romney will get in, but I'm sorry to say that the stupid ass "give me something mr government people" in this country will vote that country ruining traitor muslim back in.

I'm a small town councilman, but I am truly embarrassed to tell people that I am because of all the dirty politicians in washington have taken what is supposed to be an honorable position and used it to pocket money and give whatever just to get votes. Fuck that. You're supposed to be in there to help make the country the best damn country on the planet, not to run it into the fucking ground!

All those bastards should be dragged through the streets for what they've done to our once great country.

Yep, it's time to clean house. From the top all the way to the bottom.
It's time for natural selection to take it's course and weed out all the trash.
Sad, sad day. Everything we all work for is going down the drain. It's time to cut the "I wants" out and move on.

The working man won't never have anything thanks to the Gov't.

Makes me sad to think off all the men since 1775 that have laid down their life for this country for it to turn out the way it has. Amen to the cleaning house.

I am some what shocked. I haven't read the decision yet, but I think the entirety of the health care law was upheld by the Supreme Court. I thought at minimum they would parcel out the individual mandate as unconstitutional and maintain the rest of its provisions in some hybrid form. So much for predicting what the Supreme Court will do based on their questions at oral argument. Is am sorry this didn't go the way most of you thought it would. Now the task is to work together as Americans for the good of our country. Please exercise your right to vote in the next election, which ever way that may be.

Those analysts who predicted this based on how the court voted on the constitutionality of Arizona's immigration law got it right. Some of the justices were conflicted by the inconsistency in ruling that the federal government had sole authority to regulate consequences of an illegal alien being found out in this country and ruling differently in the health care case that the federal government had no broad power to regulate health care laws. Had they ruled differently in the health care case, they would have been legal hypocrites.

Edit: I was partially wrong. They did vote unconstitutional the provision to with hold past and future federal Medicaid funding by limiting the penalty to only withholding future funding if a state elects not to abide by the mandates in the law.

to me the biggest F-up in politics started in 1964 when "every vote counts" was taken away by the electoral college. Now the only votes that count are those of the Northeast and California. Its no longer as simple as 10 votes beats 9 votes, its 10 votes earn 63 electoral votes from the while 9 votes earns 103 electoral votes. To me it was the country's power figures saying "they dont know whats best for themselves" or "we need to make sure we stay in charge while they think they are".

I believe it considering we have a guy in office who:

1. Couldnt prove he was a citizen of the US
2. Has no military experience but is ecpected to be the commander of the most powerful military on earth
3. Obviously has no personal opinion except that which hes told would please the most people
4. Refuses to acknowledge the Star Spangled Banner

I have to tell ya'll that I read through the 193 Page decision this morning...not every word...but enough to know that the legal writing was some of the best I have ever read...from both sides of the decision. The Supreme Court members have some of the best legal minds in the world, but what you might not know is that their support staff, the law clerks, are THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST in the world. No stone was left unturned in supporting the majority decision and the decent with legal argument and logic, I can assure you. Those law clerk positions are prized. Attorney Paul Clement, who argued against the health care law, is Justice Scalia's former law clerk and a Harvard Law School graduate...top of his class. His law partner, Viet Dinh, a Vietnamese child immigrant, is a Harvard Law School graduate, as well. Attorney Donald Verrilli Jr. who argued the case for the U.S. Government received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable William J. Brennan, Jr. of the United States Supreme Court.

My point in mentioning this to you is not many realize that the major decisions in this country are made by Ivy league graduates. Your president is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law, top of his class. Former President Clinton, Yale Law. Former presidents Bush and Bush III, Yale undergraduates, and Bush III, Harvard Business School. The Republican nominee, Mitt Romney is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.

How can this be? Here is how this happens? Ivy League colleges and law schools are highly selective. What does that mean? Well, for example, Harvard University might accept for admission less that 7% of the thousands (25,000) of super qualified (test scores off the charts, perfect ACT's and SAT's and 4.0's) applicants who apply each year. Yale, Columbia, Princeton accept about the same percentages. These colleges serve the purpose of weeding out for the best of the best of the best of the best...... You think some other schools might have the brightest, but they don't come close. These four institutions are in a "league of their own". So where does the highest court in the land go to find the best law clerks? The best law schools whose acceptance percentages are even less that their undergraduate counterparts. And where do the best law schools get the best students? From the best undergraduate schools....Columbia, Yale, Harvard, Princeton...and sometimes Stanford...ok I'll give the west coast some props here, too.

And do you want the best of the best, too, to run our country?

If they can mandate that we have to have healthcare, then they can mandate we have to have other things as well.... Thats the part that scares me. They could mandate that we must buy Chevy volts because it would save oil.

Sorry, but nothing is free.

Let's look at Greece, they have free health care for all insured and look at the state of their economy. When will the idiots learn that socialism does not work. Spain's unemployment is near 25%, France near 12%. The EU is going to implode and drag down Germany.

So Dguidry is saying going to school makes you WIZE!!! And able to make better decisions for the people as opposed to letting make those decisions for themselves..

If im not mistaken mr Guidry, this country is build off of people that do make decisions for themselves.....and some of these are the best and the brightest, some are not!

So what you are saying is that the best and brightest shold have to share thier fruits of labor or riches with the not so bright? If so pal, where is my check from last month???? Obama didnt send me any check from his "Stash"????? Or does his "bright mind" want me to share MY MONEY and not his???

I can tell you this,,,,if you want to see the results of his policy's and philosophy take a look overseas,,,in the eastern world pal..

Specially take a look at AFRICA,,,,One of the richest most firtile countries but will never be nothing more than a third world country because the goverment corruption and thier willingness to supress thier people...

That is the direction he is headed,,,,starve the people, and when you hand them thier rations for the week once a week they are happy and will not oppose you no matter how bad it gets cause they are just simply "hungry"....

same as our government is doing now,,,socializing everything....

THERE IS A REASON HE IS CALLED THE "FOODSTAMP" PRESIDENT PAL..

Oh,,,DGUIDRY,,,,TELL ME WHY THEY DONT TEACH SIMPLE MATH IN LAW SCHOOL,,,BECUASE SURELY "SOME OF THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST" CANNOT SEE HOW ITS UNSUSTAINABLE...

SIMPLE MATH TELLS YOU THAT!!!!

The Supreme Court specifically said the health care law was not a mandate but an involuntary premium extraction conduit perfectly with in its constitutional authority to exercise.

Do you complain about mandatory auto insurance? It helps lower your auto premiums?
