Really? So, in 26 years of being in the military, I have been doing it wrong all along. I thought we held them at the shoulder, placed our cheek down on the stock, looked through the rear site, placed the front sight on the target, and pulled the trigger? I must have missed the marksmanship class where we hold them at the hip, and “spray” fire. How can a lawyer who never served a day in the military, get up, make such stupid and asinine comments? I think she watched to many freaking Rambo movies. |

some of the dumbest people are elected to high office.......they should be required to pass a basic government and civics test before they are allowed to serve.......Most are ignorant of the constitution........If any of these laws pass dealing with gun control it will make me a criminal because i will not report to the federal government what guns i own nor will i register them so they can be confiscated at a later date. I have written my state rep with a suggestion for a law that no law enforcement in the state of Texas is to act on gun control laws passed by the federal government and that if they do it is punishable by jail time and loss of job and benefits. I also suggested open carry laws be passed as well as laws to allow Texas citizens to defend themselves against ANYONE attempting to disarm them. Some of it might be a little over the top but i wont willingly give up my arms and it will take force to take them. |

and in case you did not know, the double barrel shotgun will keep you safer than an "assault weapon". No kidding, it is a fact, because just seconds ago, while watching the news, Vice Pres Joe Bidden made that statement. I am sorry, I forgot, what branch of service did he serve in? Or was it that he was on a police force somewhere, giving him expert knowledge on what weapons can make you safer. Hmmmm, I wonder if perhaps the military might be ditching the M4 in favor of the double barrel shotgun? We can write a new marksmanship manual on how to shoot them from the hip, to keep Sen Feinstein happy. |

We need to all start believing in America instead of believing democrats and republicans are evil. Tighter gun control measures like improved scrutiny of purchase applicants and new technology will help prevent most shootings, but you won't know how many. There will always be the exception where a crazed idiot will kill with weapons he could not have possessed legally. No amount on gun control will prevent that. No amount of mental health screening will prevent that either. |

If you truly want to help make our society safer, I urge you to help change our revolving door prison system. In addition, please push the U.S. Attorney to enforce current laws, such as prosecution of convicted criminals found in possession of a firearm, please refer to 18 USC § 922 (g) & (n). I would venture a guess that if this one law was enforced and violent criminals were removed from society that crime INCLUDING gun crime would drop. Use or possession of firearm in relation to or furtherance of a drug felony or other federal crime of violence, 18 USC § 924 (c). Knowingly transfer firearm to prohibited person, please refer to 18 USC § 922 (d), which the DOJ/ATF violated over 1500 times during Operation Fast and Furious. How can law abiding citizens trust the government's stance on crime when it willingly provided guns to criminals and it was covered up?!?! And once again about biometric technology.... My state of the art computer took 30 seconds to recognizedy thumb print. If I was trying to defend myself or family, I'd be dead. If I was duck hunting, the ducks would be ling gone. And I'm goose hunting tomorrow morning, it will be 11-15 degrees, my gloves are staying on. |

Violent crime in America is intrinsically tied to welfare. Seal the border; punish business that hire non legal workers. Systematically phase out welfare. Let those on the system start doing the work that was being done by the non legal workers and immigrants. it makes no sense to pay lazy people not to work. They then have extra time on their hands for making more illegitimate babies, doing crimes, and selling and using drugs. You can kill two birds with one stone, by fixing the immigration problems, lowering taxes, and lowering crime. Democrats would never agree though being they need people on welfare. they need the votes. The takers now outnumber the makers, and they will not want the system to change. Romney promised to put people back to work, and the lazy libs said "to hell with that". |
