I speak from experience. A combat arms unit is NO place for the fairer sex. Don't get me wrong . I am all about equality. There are numerous jobs in the military for women but and infantry or combat arms related field is one of them. Anyone remember Jessica Lynch , he'll she worked on transportation. She was raped and beaten half to death.

I seen a couple chicks that I would send in against the enemy, they some big mean bitches out there.

So the outgoing secretary of defense declared today that the ban on women serving in combat has been lifted.

This same day, an air force general declared that from 2011 to 2012, they have seen a 30% increases in sexual assaults and rapes.

This year, the Army fired more brigade commanders, than at any time in US Army History. The majority of them were relieved for morality issues.

Go figure, we drop DADT, and instead of calling it a moral issues, the leaders called it a leadership and respect issue. Sorry dudes, my moral compass does not change direction because of the results of an election. My ethics, morality, and knowledge of right and wrong are tied to the Bible, not to the opinions of Madonna, Obama, or Oprah. What was wrong twenty years ago, is wrong now.

The modern day military is so beat down and castrated from the laws of political correctness, not a one of them can step up to the mic, and unleash truth.

When we placed women much further to the front than ever before, and mixed them in with the combat units, we saw this rise in sexual assaults never seen before, but none of these educated so called "leaders" can seem to figure out why.

Morality has been traded for popularity. Officers are now more worried about the thoughts of Jon Stewart, than the words of John Adams. They have traded the character from the likes of George Washington to George Marshall for the lack of character of Lady Ga Ga, Bill Clinton, and Rosie O’Donnell.

Show me one military leader or politician who can stand up with out lying, and tell the American people that this decision will increase lethality, drop the current rise in sexual assaults and rapes, and how it will also be cost effective to the American People?

Wait till we are required to drop the standards...ranger regiment, ranger school, SFAS etc.

A bad day for all combat units, guaranteed standards will be lowered.

From my understanding, Lynch never told the lies.

It was the media that told the lies of her being the hero of the battle, firing her weapon until out of ammo, then getting ammo from others in her team.

the Army knew the truth, and this was while the Pat Tillman story was still pretty fresh. Not telling the truth in the Tillman story bit the Army in the butt, but telling the truth in the Jessica Lynch story would also bite them in the butt, as the feminists would go after them. The decision was made to let it alone, and let the facts come out in time.

Once again, when Lynch was rescued, she told the reporters that she laid in the fetal position during the fight, and did not fire a round. (just my understanding)

It was also discovered later on, that she was pretty popular with the male soldiers in her unit, and some movies were made, not showing her in the best light.

Sexual assault / Sexual harassment is something near and dear to me as a military leader. I find it shameful, that leaders pride themselves on being problem solvers, but with sexual assault, they prefer to just come up with better reporting methods, instead of prevention.

I have found that to prevent, you have to get into the weeds with both male and female soldiers. You have to talk about drunken soldiers in the barracks "pulling a train" on the drunk female private. You have to talk about a "barracks hoe". The generals might not talk about barracks hoes, but ask Joe about one, and see what he tells you. Ask a West Point Cadet about getting some grey trou, and see what he says. The mass majority of sexual assaults happen while people are drunk. I got a cure, don’t drink. Not that easy for some.

I can verify the firing no rounds part too, I had pictures of her humvee and there was very little brass around any of the vehicles maybe 50 rounds. I know it was hers because for whatever reason they put their names on the windshield.

Idacraw- haaaa, that whole names on windshields sure went away quick when the world of IEDs came into play.

Having "IRON HORSE 6" on the commanders vehicles is now a thing of the past.

Ranger- as a leader of soldiers don't take this the wrong way, but I have served with some commanders that thought they were Capt America and put entire companies at risk because they wanted to be heroes instead of being tactical. I would have loved to put "IRON HORSE 6" on windshields to identify them. You know what I am talking about. I am sure during your career coming through the ranks you have had some hard charging company commanders in your junior ranks full of piss and vinegar trying to make a name for themselves.

You may need to read some of the real comments and point of views on most that are in or have served! From what im seeing, they are not very happy, and are saddened! Even some women that are serving are voicing how bad a decision that was!!!

Is it not obvious to you that this is a bad choice? It it was Deans Army, would you do this?

FYI Gen Amos , marine commandant , said no way , he is not sacrificing the offensive strength of his combat arm troops , by integrating personnel for political or ideological reasons , having served in combat with 2nd btn 4th marines in desert one, there were plenty of women there , just not at the front, my opinion keep it that way
