The Super Outbreak of tornadoes of 3–4 April 1974 remains one of the most outstanding severe convective weather episodes of record in the continental United States. The outbreak far surpassed previous and succeeding events in severity, longevity and extent. There were 18 hours of continuous tornado activity. A total of 315 to 330 people were killed in 171 tornadoes from April 1 through April 4 and 5,484 were injured. So Global Warming was worse 40 years ago?? |
