Does anyone else think Obama appealing to congress is because of his lack of decisiveness? Or do you think it's because he truely wants to only have approval. I can see the second helping democrats in the next election bc if it goes terribly wrong he and others can blame it on congress as their scapegoat and not take responsibility of their decisions. In my own opinion we should have taken action as soon as we found out the nerve agent sarin was used to kill those people. By his decision to forgo his authority, more people will loose their lives.

We do nothing it sends a signal that WMD's can be used. We have to show our resolve in this small arena so the bigger players like North Korea, Pakistan, and the former Russian Satilite countries don't think they can use WMDs like Nuclear theater bombs with impunity.

Let our enemies kill each other.....and where are the chem weapons we knew were in iraq? Who used chem weapons? Assad or the rebels? If assad let loose the chems, why werent they launced at rebel positions? Why would they hit a neighborhood full of civilians and not so many rebels? We helped the lybian al queda and not the syrians. What is terrorism? Political influence through violence. So what if the rebels did it to bring us into war? I say we let another super power or another muslim country deal with syria..... its loose loose if we do anything.....and what if syria retaliates against us by bombing isreal? ..... like I said, loose loose.

Those carped riders have been killing each other since biblical times.... let them sort it out and keep the USA the fuk out of that mess. That ****** president of ours should have kept his big gums shut.... And now he seeks the advice of McCain... who is a war hungry moron...

The old men make the wars....and the young men fight them...nothing has changed. I say if that stupid ****** and kerry and mcCain want a war then they should stock up on some already non-existent amunition and firearms and go over there and fight it themselved like the three musketeers that they are...

This President doesn't have the stomach for this retaliatory action. When things escalate following US strikes, he won't have the smarts or stomach for the deadly chess match that will ensue.
Like the dude already said, his pot smoking commie experimenting lackluster college career hardly prepared him to deal with the likes of lifetime Warriors like Putin and the ever changing leadership in Egypt, Iran etc...

I say keep a good large presence and let them kill each other. That will be less we or our Sons will have to kill when this does escalate into a world war. If they do attack someone like Israel, and they will, then hammer them and get the hell away and let them screw up again before you try anything else. My Son wants to join the Marines now and I am totally against it because our current president might waste his life, which would force me to do something I would never regret.

Dguidry's comment "it's getting better all the time with health care are for all."

Notice that Unions are now finding out they do not want this healthcare, those who work for congress are running from it, democrats in congress are trying to hold it off until after the midterm election because they know what it will do to the American wallet, and even Obama is trying to slow it down and only implement certain parts (unconstitutionally). It is kind of funny how the democrats are running from their own legislation.

For DG, got this in my inbox today.
This person has some great ideas. Kind of like Reagan, who used his belief in a core set of principles and values to restore America in a time of great need.

A TEXAS GIRL SOUNDS OFF AS ALL RESPONSIBLE FOLKS FEEL------------

"IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER,YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM."

WRITTEN BY A 21 YEAR OLD FEMALE. Wow, this girl has a great plan! Love the last thing she would do the best!

This was written by a 21 yr. old female who gets it. It's her future she's worried about and this is how she feels

about the social welfare big government state that she's being forced to live in!

These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.

This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX

PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice

and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke,

then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?

You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or

you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways

of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.

We will sell your 22-inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that

long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system

rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

I love this one.
AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily

remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't welfare check.

If you want to vote, then get a job.

McCain said it will be disastrous if congress doesn't support the President decision to strike. How we do this militarily I have no clue. I can't imagine securing WMDs without troops on the ground. I agree with some who say both sides in that civil war are evil.

I am not sure about this so take this with a large grain of salt. Obama is actually real smart, I have heard he can run for another term in a time of war and he is trying to get involved in one where he can lay the blame on someone other than himself. I do not believe in any war where the Enemy can not be easily identified. Make war on Countries defeat them then take over. Do not hand it over to another Dictator and rebuild it. Limited wars accomplish nothing at all. These people on both sides hate us and have sworn to kill us "Infidels". Let them Gas each other till there is none left.

Another thing I have never understood is refusal to cut off the head of the Snake. If you must do something leave their army alone. Send that Missile right in on top of their President. Much cheaper that way and the next in line might just act better. If not send in another till you get someone with sense.

Wrong on one point, the president is confined to two terms. Although if we are in a time of war a president can serve past his term limitations if he declares martial law. During that time no elections can take place and the constitution is suspended. That is the only way to serve past his term limits.
