We laid a mine field on the entrance in. Gonna have to put some obstacles in the front yard to channel them into the mine field.

I turned your tool shed into the command post, and will run commo wire to every fighting position and hook up the TA-1 phones.

We got the medium machine gun pointing down the main road, and light auto weapons with 360 degree security in the other buildings.

If we can get the dad gum engineers over, we can dig in bunkers with overhead cover, and push up some berms.

I put the TRP in the middle of your grass field in the event they try to land a chopper.

We may need to put some Observation Posts out in the woods in case they try to run some light infantry in the back door.


Will be a big plus if we can get tripple strand concertina wire in, with some tangle foot and trip flares set up.

Baron Von will want to stay in the CP, and command the fight. Would be good to have Mudweiser in there with him as the second in command and running the Tactical Operations Center (TOC).

We got Black River Josh (he moves quick) out on the OP with Frog. If they get hit, they will blow the claymore mines and dee dee mow back inside the wire.

Danimalw, Voo Doo Dady and I will make up the Quick Reaction Force. The goal is to capture Dean alive. To extract information, we will have Ninja Butt Pirate do the interogation. We will do the interogation in the basement of the main house. That whole "butt pirate" thing can get pretty noisy, and is not for the faint at heart.

ranger, I like your style! However I would add some surface to air missiles in preparation for an air attack and possibly some ground sensing equipment in case he tries tunneling in. Should i volunteer to the cause I'd like to add one personal piece of equipment for myself, the M202A1 firing incendiary rockets. ( I like fire )

I need some help. I feel like a sitting duck in this defense. I want to move to phase two of the operation and switch over to an offensive fight. We will call it Operation Swamp Rat, and are taking the fight to Dean.

Round me up six Cajuns with solid boats, and one heck of an aluminum welder. See the concept sketch below. I want pedestal machine gun mounts put in the front of boats. We will catch Dean out in the swamp, and overwhelm with superior numbers and firepower.

I remember a movie back in the 80s where a national guard unit ended up fighting cajuns. I do not recall any boats, but it was decades ago that I saw it.

I figure an updated version could star Dean Guidry as the villan

The name of the Movie was Southern Comfort.

Back in the 80s, I was enlisted in the Ranger Regiment, and we would watch a lot of war movies in the barracks. We had a habit of memorizing lines from movies like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Outlaw Josie Wales and such. We had a young sergeant from Ohio that could mimic voices well, and he had the Cajun accent down pat from the Southern Comfort movie. I may have to see if I can find that movie and watch it again.

it appears I was wrong, there were boats in the movie. Not aluminum flat bottoms with long tails or surface drives, but wood pirogues.
