So if you refuse to use your talents as a baker to make a gay wedding cake for two men, they can have your business shut down, and sue you. How is it that if a 20 year old, legal by federal and state laws can be denied a Constitutional right by Walmart to purchase a shotgun? Is that not age discrimination? Can Walmart decide not to sell shotguns to anyone over 65?. Can Walmart refuse to sell beer to anyone under 25? Can a business take part in political activism? can a business refuse to sell you something based on your sex, nationality, race, physical size, religion, political party, height,..... |

If you want to get technical about it. Just facts. No feelings. Any privately owned business can refuse service whether it be gun purchases. Cakes. Even groceries. That whole ordeal with the cake was completely fabricated due to feelings not facts and laws. |

Let us break it down a different way. Walmart is saying they are going to deny selling firearms and ammo to those legal to own them, but will refuse because Walmart thinks doing so will prevent crime. Currently in America the 12.5% black population is doing 50% of all murders (According to the Uniform Crime Reports). Of all people murdered in the US last year, half of all homicide victims were black (According to the CDC). If Walmart can discriminate by age, can they by race? Could Walmart refuse to sell weapons and ammo to black people? Could Walmart refuse to sell to those from the Middle East, or those they suspect of being Muslim? |

It’s as simple as what is a federally protected class. Age just happens to be one, which means you cannot discriminate based on that reason. The sad thing is sexual preference is not a federally protected class and yet the baker who refuses to service them was sued, and lost. Somehow I think is a 20 year old were to sue Walmart or Dick’s, the case would be throw ln out. Funny how these activist judges pick and choose when to apply a law. |

As said above, we should be able to refuse to anyone that we do not want to do business with. But they are free to press a law suit on some sort of age discrimination, I bet. The thing is, WalMart and these big companies have deep pockets that the plantiffs do not have. it would have to be an NRA that could get this changed. |

I think any business that posts a sign by owner that THEY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY SERVICE...that may suffice. However the cards fall...this is not an issue that is not easily going away. |
