 My son's first mallard
My 7 year old layed the hammer down on this bird Saturday morning, all I could do was watch and enjoy what was happening. He is becoming pretty handy with that shotgun....

 Re: My son's first mallard
When he turns an age where he can hunt without your help, he'll be getting your ass up at 2 am. and won't let you tell him it's too early. He'll leave without you. And you can forget about finding your stuff anymore. He will have claimed or misplaced all of it. But so what, you get to spend a lot of time with him. I'm fortunate to be able to hunt with my son every weekend and holidays and sometimes during the middle of the week. I can't tell you how much enjoyment I get out of seeing him grow up and become a man. Its worth every drill bit, shotgun, battery, flashlight, duck call, tool, he's misplaced or every hole he put in my wooden boat...it was all worth it.

 Re: My son's first mallard
I know this is an older post but is that a Winchester or Mossberg? Never seen the mini in Winchester. Just curious.
