Just an update. Christy went into labor on Saturday and gave birth to our Isabella Rose at 0120hrs Sunday. She was just 23 weeks and 1lb 4oz. Shes fighting her own battle right now but, shes hanging in there. Baby number two has yet to be born and we are hoping she will wait a little longer. Prayers are welcome and most appreciated. |

Prayers are sent man. I know what your going through and its crazy that something can be so small. My parents had an accident when I was 17 and my little brother was born 3 months premature and was 1lb 6ounces its amazing what those doctors can do in the NICU. My ole lady was a preemie also and was 1lb 8ounces and well shes your typical woman lol. Keep your head up |

Thanks to all for your prayers and thoughts. Im sorry to say we had to let Isabella go, cant put into words how hard this has been for us. Olivia Rose was born two weeks later on the 6th at 25 weeks. So far she is doing well and we are continuing to pray for her. The two weeks did make a big difference we just hope it was enough.. |

So sorry for your loss. My son was born 4 months premature and is now a healthy 6 year old boy playing pee wee tackle football. God works in strange ways sometimes. Keep your faith in the Lord and he will carry you through these hard times. Again my wife an I will be on our knees tonight for you and your family. |

Hey guys, The pic is from this week. The doctor finally allowed Christy to hold the baby for a short period, of course I was at work so I missed it. She seems to be doing well for the most part. shes still intubated for breathing because she tires out and stops trying, apnia spells. They are doing brain scans on her weekly and for me thats the scariest part. They are saying the brain isnt mature enough to tell if there will be issues or not so every week is a drawn out wait for Friday and the phone call. We are thankful that she isnt on any medications or IV fluids. She is taking a little milk every day and her body is processing it well. she now weighs 1lb 14oz and you can see in the picture just how tiny she really is. I think if it wasnt for the stress and concern I would be in awe and amazement at such a tiny and fragile life. Shes very active and determined, she has an attitude and doesnt care to be handled, think I gave her that. She goes back and forth for the most part but, everyday is just that another day. Things are still hard on us and we have a few issues but, we continue to pray and hold onto what faith we can that in the end she will be home with us and healthy. We long for the time when we can just sit back and enjoy our gifts without the cloud of the hospital and health concerns. I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and continuing to check in. Sometimes its nice to hear from people other than family and close friends. |

Brooks, We would like that. Thanks to all. Olivia is over three pounds now. Shes still on the vent and we dont know why but the doc did tell us the other day that theres no sign of the brain issues that we were concerned about. That was a major load off... We hope to know something more soon. |
