He kept staring at me and grinning ear to ear at me running the boat. We got out of the main river channel and out of the way, he stood up there and idled the ol Longtail around like a pro!!! We didn't fire the first shot but he had a blast anyway. He calls me from his dads phone asking when we can go hunt again hahaha

Good job. Glad to hear it. Heck he'll remember that and who knows you may have just turned him into a lifelong hunter/fisherman

He's 7, really good kid. He's deathly afraid of the dark but my buddy says if he is getting up to go hunting he will stick it out. He accidentally shot a decoy on one of our hunts and I gave it to him lol... His dad says he totes that thing everywhere.

Man that's some good times there buddy. I know several people that would not bring a child hunting because they'll ruin the hunt. " I'm tired, I'm hot, I'm cold, I gotta go pee" help that's half the fun right. Getting the kids involved is a must. I took my 7 yr old the second day of teal season and this is how he felt with the dark. He was so excited he wore himself out before daylight

Hell I don't blame him. I've been known to catch a power nap a little while before shooting time myself haha.

Nice! To anyone who has not, take a kid out hunting they will never forget and it is a most rewarding experience to see them soaking it in if you miss a few birds oh well their enjoyment will be more rewarding to you in the end.

I've been bringing a kid since he was 8 he is now 14 and he blows my phone up calling the day before the season opens every year. So now I just count him in if he calls or not.

I been bringing my 6 year old for a couple years now. I try to pick nice days preferably during the week when the weather is good ad there ain't to many yahoos out in the marsh. I been letting him bring his old red rider BB gun in the boat and shoot decoys all morning with it, he loves it and it keeps him from getting bored if the birds ain't flying
