My 13 year old shot a 97 on the sporting clays course yesterday. He officially shoots clays better than me now. I can still out shoot him in the field.... for now.74244.jpeg

That's awesome. Both my boys can out shoot me on the field or at the range.

He is a good shot in the field, but his reflexes are not quick enough yet.

Clays he can calculate through the show pair and establish a hold point and break point. Cant really be that calculated in the field. My buddy said an Argentina dove shoot is similar to shooting clays. He said there are so many dove you just choose the shot you want to work on, and there will be an opportunity for it every few seconds.

Your right. Shooting birds is a different ball game. It's great that he likes shooting clays. It's a lot of fun.

He shot 2 NSCA tournaments today and got 1st in his class in both. One of them he got a 93 and the other was a 73. A bunch of the master class shooters were impressed with his 73.

He is part of Quail Creek Young Guns. The shoot he has been taking part in lately are NSCA registered shoots. We have been traveling around to other courses so he can see something other than Quail Creek. NSCA registered shoots are open to just about all age groups. Very few kids shoot in them. It is mostly older gentlemen.
