Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
It has taken us almost 2 months to complete the project. If only work was an option instead of a necessity...
Enjoy

What make boat? I have a 14 x 4 horizon and it looks identical to that.

Re: Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
Hey
What did you use for lights? That is last thing I have to buy for my summer rebuild is running lights. I have some cheap Blazer 55 watt halogen's and I am thinking of changing bulb to 100's. I ran 14 ga wire from my switch panel thinking I would use LED, but those are expensive. Seems like most of the lights the boat guys sell are about 6000 lumens. Boat looks good. Mine is just getting done at the welder so it should be camo by Sunday.

Re: Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
We're pumping out 7200 lumens. Take your cheap KC lights and install a backer plate, halogen bulb, and run new 14 gauge wire and you're set. It'll set you back $15?

Re: Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
Looks like a VERY similar rig to mine. I'd like to do this kind of overhaul next year on mine. What did you use for the flooring?
I'm also taking the center bench out of mine... The ribs on my hull are DEEP though, going to take plywood or something and put down between the ribs so they don't stick up too badly. Really liking the big box too.

Re: Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
Thanks guys.
SETx, we set 3/4" black foam in the bottom first, then added the diamond plate shop mat foam to the top. All material weights less than 10lbs and was a very inexpensive addition. All pieces were attached with contact cement. Also, we eliminated the horizontal ribs in the floor of the boat by building the mats up to the top of these ribs. It's very nice not tripping over them anymore!

Re: Summer Project - First Rig Rebuild
Any thoughts on putting the gun box down the middle instead of on the side? That way it could double as seats.
