What the fuc does engine mods have to do with gettting unstuck or not?

And when did we start considering an engine with an aftermarket exhaust to be "modded?"

For the record:

Port & Polish heads & no they are not decked (won on MMT Radio) - SETX
Marsh Mellow Muffler - I installed it
Mukuni Carb - SETX
Performance cam - SETX
Roller Rockers (installed after SETX run) - SETX

The reason I bought a MM after stock exhaust rusted out was because they didn't offer the Stainless Steel stock option then... other than that I was stock. For over 2 years I ran completely stock all the videos I've made & posted & use are all of my stock rig. Not to mention a heavy 1860 filled with flotation.

BTW - GPS speeds today = 33.4 MPH

Craig -- Im not talking about exhaust as being a mod but a modded engine will perform better -- its a proven fact[/quote]

Brad...I wasn't typing to you.

Although a modded engine will perform better (load carrying...holeshot etc.) it will not get you unstuck better. A stock 35 hp engine turning turning a 12" prop 4200 rpm wont get you any further than a 500 hp engine turning a 12" prop @ 4200 rpm.

but it just makes it a hell of alot more interesting when you hear your motor bouncing off 5000 rpm's
