 Re: My boat build pics
Is it a flat bottom?
What size are those longitudinal braces?

 Re: My boat build pics
The longitudinal braces consist of (2) 2x2 square tubing, (2) 2x6 I beams, and (1) 2x6 rectangular tubing. My buddy had one built last season (minus the huntdeck) and it is one bad ass, sweet running rig. He runs a stock 35 MB and was getting 26-27 mph by himself 21-24 with a load. I'm slapping a 35 GTR on mine. If I see speeds similar to his I'll be happy. My old outboard duck boat had @the same speeds.
The hull is built by Alumitech Airboats of Orlando, Florida. It is the same place that built the Seminole Extreme aluminum hulls for Paul Dixon.
The bottom of the hull is very similar to the Gatortail Extreme, flat on the bottom with the stepped chine for handling. the rake has a slight V to knock the chop down since I run quite a bit of open water to get to my hunting areas.
Size is 17.5' x 48". The 48 is measured at the flat portion of the bottom.

That looks nice. The Beefed up stringers, 6061 aluminum, spray in flotation under the floor. You get what you pay for with these boats.
Mine ran 26-27 with a stock gdsd. I think you'll be happy with the speeds from the gt. You driving to LA to pick up the motor?
BTW. My buddy just put an order in for one and Pauls gonna let someone else build it for him. should be done in a few weeks. I'll post some pics when it shows up.

 Re: My boat build pics
I opted for no flotation, they said it is easy to add later if I feel the need. Calens Engine Service shipped the 35GTR to Alumitech for me.

Slow motion 23... Is that you Shannon. Ha Ha Jess. It will not be Reel Balls 2. Haven't come up with a name yet, and probably won't.
