Fatty (Aka Fowl Habit on here) is running a Phowler pointed bow. We camped at goose island early in June. The water was high, but we found some fun areas to run. It was more of a Keith Stone weekend for me, not Busch Light. The sand bar was a case of sliding a bit too much in a turn and deciding that beaching the boat was better than hitting it sideways. |

Amazing how the river looks down here, compared to up there. Almost don't recognize it without the barges, cruise ships, ports and tidal wave current. |

There are barges and boat traffic, but most of it was a 1/2 mile away on the main channel. You can even swim in this part of the river! We will definitely plan something again for next year. |
