Yeah he busted his ass took about 3 hrs to move it 50 yards to some soft mud had to use a landscape post off a someones blinds and shove it under the back of the boat and basically pry it to get it to a little water were it would slide. Thank good we had beer and poweraide.

We hunt out of light boats like that because one of those fancy gt boats or excels would still be there unit an air boat could come get it we break em bring it to the welder to fix they last us about 6-7 years that plenty.

When you start seeing more grass and less water, it can be a good idea to change directions.

Catahoula don't really have stumps so there isn't much need for a strong boat.
You will see its a lot easier to slide a slick bottom boat back to water than a ribbed bottom john though, trust me on that one.

PVC pipe works good too

And so is schedule 40 spud poles...you can pry the boat up and get pvc under it and use it to leverage the boat forward....heavy but I consider a necessity. The alum can bend too damn easy.....

A winch and a couple fence posts and a sledge hammer are worth their weight in gold to someone who likes to run shallow like us. I never leave home without those items....
