barnes are you trying to get a discount on your next hull . i don't think anybody is trying to say anything turns better than a round chine if they are they are retarded but a tapered chine can be built to turn pretty close. call kents boy danny Sullivan and ask him how well a taper chine can turn . i followed him on every trail he went at the mudbuddy ride and after everybody left we rode for a couple more hours and he couldn't believe my boat wasn't a round chine. he hopped in my boat and rode down the haul ass and turn around atleast 5 times trying to get it to slide and couldn't. only time that boat would break loose is no load and turning slight left and guess what my 1750 gatortrax i had did the same thing with no load.

And how did that round chine performance work out for you Barnes? I went back and found the post about the accident. Sounds like you were running a little to fast through tight quarters, thinking you were invincible with your round chines, and it bit you in the ass.

I wonder if a square chine that doesn't squat as much would've still hit the underwater stump that caused the accident?

I don't care how good any boat turns. It's not a good idea to put yourself or others into circumstances that need not be put in. I can drive a tiller rig as good as any but I still slow down in areas I don't know or places that shit could happen.

I have a "round chine" and in anything less than 2' of water it's useless!

I never been in a bayou with over 2' and sharp enough turns to use it! Never been in the marsh with over 2' that I needed to turn sharp in!

So round chine is useless round these parts! Only negatives cause it don't carry the wieght like a square does!

I like the round chines in Marsh cuts during deer hunting season. Overall I prefer tapered chines or squared.

I like the way the round runs but hate how it squats with my pd. I won't have another one.

I hated that mine (round chine) wanted to spin circles when idling. I ordered a square chine. I'd rather haul more of a load and slow down to turn than spin 360s while putting around the lake.

But it looks so cool to turn sharp at full speed Cody.
