New to forum/new motor...
Just picked up a 24hp mud buddy long tail friday for $800 w/ 17 hours on it. Never driven one before anything I should expect? Tips to keep my dry on it's maiden voyage tomorrow? Thanks for the input and look forward to being part of the discussions.

Bolted it to a 1648 monark, nothing special. Mounted headlights on it and a winch. Trying to get ready for duck season. Gonna try to figure out where to mount the seat and grab bar tomorrow.

Take it low and slow until you learn the ropes. Wear your kill switch.

Re: New to forum/new motor...
Thanks guys, I think its gonna take the duck huntin' to the next level. There were alot of mud motors where I'm from in Michigan, but down here, I bet I'm the only one within 100 miles with one. Should work to my advantage when duck season kicks on.

That Monarch should be a good boat for that motor.
