This really is quite the story, only question i have that i am lost on...docott, Didn't you already have materials from uncle j that you purchased? And if so, why would you pay a material deposit?

Lets quit talking about this knucklehead Docott and talk about the folks with a considerable gripe. Autogateman, for example. He never got paid for the stuff he did. That, to me, is proof positive this guy is shady.

I called the sheriff office on ole Jessie last year when I waited for 2-3 months on a motor he was supposed to send me. It got ugly. He kept telling me that one of his relatives lost the paperwork and it was in a warehouse somewhere. I'm pretty sure that if I wouldn't have gotten authorities involved that I woulda have to have headed to Louisiana to deal with it personally. I finally got my motor and he sent me a couple of nice push poles to "make up" for the inconvenience. Also promised me a big discount on a boat build. Haha!

That is correct DH250. I had planned to bring the bottom and sides to Jesse, but I live in Covington and by the time I got off my ass to go to Morgan City to get them and my trailer, I had become aware of his business practices. Thank god I hadn't already dropped them off because I'm pretty sure they'd be part of someone else's boat!!!

Hell, he didn't even have to start this thread to find a place to vent; low and behold, someone else was dealing with the same shit from the same n!gger!!! He grew balls when he named BradS publicly, but he's still being far more restrained than I would be when speaking of the mud boat monkey...

I tried to get something started about this over a month ago, but people didn't want to believe it. Had to wait for people were ready to talk about the truth;)

This has definitely taught me to be careful what you put your trust in... Again, I want to apologize to the people I did actually try sending his way in the past. Not saying anyone really actually listened to me, but I still feel like shit for it now.. Lesson learned.

My question is this;I remember a post not that long ago where brads went off on uncle j about his boats and how bad they were. Am I the only one now thinking that was totally motivated to try and push DSC by dogging the competition? If so that's pretty sad

Well I still don't like uncle J's boats but at least his clients are always happy with his product and service. I've heard he's gone out of his way to help his clients, which is the way most custom builders are down here.

Personally, if I had been waiting all these months, promises of checks in the mail that never got there, no boat, no materials, no calls.....I'd be calling Johnny Law on em. Funny how a the idea of a criminal record can set someone straight. I'd give the owner a shot at making it right with a certified letter of intent that if the issue wasn't resolved by a certain date, the Sherrif would be called. If he tried to B.S. again...well tough $hit. If im out 3 grand so be it, but Ill be damned if the guy is sittin back eating steaks while im left with an empty wallet and nothing to show for it.

I cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy of the following, but it comes from a reliable source and I personally believe it. I've heard he has as many as seven lawsuits pending against him regarding deposits.

Just FYI, I'm not a big fan of gossip or talking about somebody behind their back, but I don't consider any of this as gossip, it's not going on behind his back-he's read all of this, guaranteed, he's just too much of a pussy to respond, and, lastly, he doesn't deserve the courtesy of my restraint.

Here's what people have to realize about custom boats. They are Custom. If you don't like something, Change It!!!

On a different note::::
Our excellent customer service has landed us a job which will put us not building any boats until after first of year. And, we are able to profit 3X's the money. So, if anyone heard about our big contract..... WE GOT IT. And, for paid a little upfront. Over $60,000.00 worth. And we are working day and night crews to ensure job is done on a timely manner with keeping quality FIRST..
