Hi everybody, I'm a Georgia Dawg grandpa trying to learn about this technology and how I can use it to get away from the 5+ Million folks making all this noise around here!

From time spent reading here to date, it is very obvious that I will need to travel to experience first hand the practical applications. But in the meantime, lots of great info to absorb.

I've been using stock mud motors for years, but just bought a new boat with a modified GTR 35 and started checking this site out for some guidance on the new motor. I live in New Orleans and fish and hunt mostly in Delacroix, Pointe A La Hache, Mrytle Grove, and Lake Hermitage but you can find me anywhere the redfish are shallow or the ducks are flying.

Attached are some pics of my rig.

CD here I am up in central Dallas, renovating a 2003 godevil LT 23. I plan on dropping that guy on my new 1448 grizzly in the next few days. We shall see what happens. Glad to be here. I have got everything in motion to take her for the madien voyage in the morning. Wish me luck.

New note. I am not going to push the mud flats obviously but I was completely amazed with where I could go. SICK I Love it.

Northeast MS, got a tiller handle motor guide chasing a 12 foot jon; that was for real, but all jokes aside, I am really interested in finding "the perfect rig" but I'll probably just settle for what I can afford.

Looking for a 15 to 16 footer approximately 48 to 52 inches wide slick bottom with a solid surface drive.

Hey everyone, I'm from Empire, Louisiana. I bought a 25 horse Go-Devil that pushes a custom built 18' aluminum boat. It was designed for crawfishing in the basin and has bulkheads that go all the way to the top of the hull. It's 3/16 aluminum and I use it for coastal restoration projects near Venice, La. It goes the same speed with a full load as it does empty, maybe I need more pitch in the prop?

Been hangin around the sight for a few years (under different names with forgotten passwords) and finally decided after asking quite a few questions with good answers from youall a made the plunge in august. Just getting tired of waiting for it to get here. I recon with the water so low here in Texas I'm gonna need it this year for sure.
Good hunting to all.

Really great site! Cool seeing and reading about everybody's boats and adventures. Haven't figured out how to put pics here yet. Souped up i-phone smarter than I am!
Recently bought 1st mud boat/motor and man what a blast! I used to fight like hell to go places this thing idles through. Mines an 18' x 60" cc Pro-Drive w/ 36hp vanguard mainly rigged to fish out of but I've already found I can shave miles of walkin to bow hunt the river swamps around here! From redfish in the shallows to WAY backwater bassin' this thing has been impressive to say the least.
Hats off to the guys @ PD!
