Im thinking about ordering a mini HD frame kit from Mud Buddy.
I have a 20hp honda that id like to use for the engine.
Im have a 16hp long tail that im not happy with on my boat. 1448 AW grizzly Jon. From what im reading on the net the short tail motors are a better match for wider boats?
In Canada here where i hunt. I run about 4km from the boat ramp. Half of that is open deep water that can get 2 footers. Once into the bay Im running 2 ft or less with a soft bottom and millfoil weeds with some lilys mixed in. The best areas to hunt are very shallow and the mud is very thick black silt. I find the long tail is good for getting leverage in the mud. But slow as hell in the open water.
What kind of speed should i expect from a 20hp on a mini frame?

can you get a tt mini?
how wide a boat should be got the shit beat out of it in boats and blinds a week or so ago. I personally think long and narrow is the way to go wit a smaller motor.

I guess you are asking---if you switch the 20 to the 16 frame how much speed will you pick up??? If that is correct I would say a couple MPH.....Throw a 27 or 31 on that thing.
