I have been messing with my trim (actuator) for about 4 weeks now and this is what I have come up with. I took apart actuator which is a (bear) and did not see any metal shavings or bad gears cleaned with carb cleaner and greased back up. I replaced the electric motor and there is no difference between the new and old, still trips breaker. There are no pinched wires and switch is good. I think the electric trim is a problem and if I buy the actuator for $310 it will probably work for a little while but will give me problems in the future again because the motor just weighs to much for the electric trim to handle, basically its junk. So the mercury upgrade would be the only other option and I can only find it for $950 on SETX website but think it would work better and not be junk in a year or two since its hydrolic not electric. I have been told by a couple people the upgrade is $600 but cant find that price anywhere. Any opinions or information would be greatly appreciated. |

Forget websites- pick up the phone. Youre not gonna find it. Just call keith at setx or micah at mudbuddy. |
