Hey, need some help from the Gator-tail runners...my reverse lever was barely engaging with the lever squeezed all the way. Do all i need to do is unscrew the top and add some Dot 5 fluid? The o-ring/gasket thing is a little cracked...where can i get one. thanks

I know dis is not da answer to your question, but GT now makes an alluminum plug/cap for da break fluid cause da plastic ones crack easy.

Just thought you may be interested in that.

mine started doing that when my o-ring was leaking got some brake fluid and was gonna bleed it. but i just filled the resv. and pumped it and it got hard so i just left it at that and filled when needed did that for about a month till i could get it to gt and they threw on a new one for me.

o and only hand tighten that plastic cap if you stripe it out an i-bolt will fit perfect in it ain't that right quack

The reverse cutch works just like a disc break. On the caliper are two scresw which adjust the gap between the discs and the rotor. If your fluid is correct and topped off, these may need adjusting. Ours did new.

Well, went to O'Reilly's and got some Dot 5 and then showed the guy the little O-ring and it took him about 30 seconds to match it...got home and filled it up, pumped a few times and all is good.

Hey, maybe not, but i'm the type that if i'm going to replace something...i'm going to try to do it exactly...May get by without the o-ring, but the way i think is...they put it there for a reason, why not spend the few cents and get a new one?

Whats the proper way to bleed it. The book says do both fitting but does it matter which one you do first, front or back?
