Clean and Secure Battery Mount, what do you do?
I want to mount a battery in the stern of my boat. I've got a flat floor. I have one of the black cheapo plastic housings that you get anywhere but I doubt it's durability, especially while towing and bouncing around. What do you guys use to hold your battery in place? I want it to be enclosed so that I'm not looking at battery terminals. Something clean that I can step on if I have to.
What have you guys come up with?

You can make a bench seat on the side and have your switches mounted to the side of the box. Most just have a few pieces of al. welded to the floor to sit the plastic box in and strap it down.

I just used one of the cheapo boxes for my 2nd batt, but you can't step on it. I was told about one from Cabelas or Academy maybe? HD box that you connect batt to on inside, seals up, and outside has connections for accys. Still trying to locate it.

Make sure its stainless. But you might be better off just getting a good waterproof switch panel. Everything ties into the back of the switch panel and some have built in fuses or bearkers. That would be your cleanest application I would think. But they ain't cheap for the good ones.

Spend yore money on good wire like SO cable and put that thing under yore bow lite where it helps balance the boat and keep the rear floor wide open for important stuff like ice chests
