Post subject:  Flat Bottom Boat - Trailer "Roller"

I have a 16 foot flat bottom boat (bow is straight across). The problem is that the trailer has a small roller on it where the wench is to crank the boat up to when trailering. The problem is that the roller is not what this boat needs as it causes damage to the under side of the hull near the front of the boat. What I need is like a "U" shaped catch on the front of the boat that would catch the front of the bow and snug it in. That way the bow is snugs up right into the "U" (pretend the "U" was rotated 90 degrees to the left and the bow of the boat came in from left to right). This would keep the boat from jumping up when I hit a bump. I haven't been able to find a part like this, but I know they are out there. Hopefully I have done a good enough job explaining myself and someone can help me locate what I am looking for. It would probably take a whole new winch unit to work properly. I appreciate any help you can provide.

yeah, turn the bow stop 90 degrees and drill your mounting hole from the other side; if i understand you correctly, that should work :?:
