i noticed on the beavertail website that they have surface drive.. 40 hp.. any body seen it run???... or any one know if any other brands will come out with the 40 hp...

No reason to even consider one for a MM. :x



I find it funny that Briggs no longer shows the hp or torque specs for the 35 on their website, ya have to email to get it now, yet Kohler proudly displays the 40 specs.

it ran pretty good on deadbird8's Excel (I thought). Drove it at Caddo last year for a bit. Hole shot seemed kind of sloppy though.

Its a smooth running motor but I think my 35 with headwork would out run it (even with the carb on it). From last year:



I think alot of folks are looking at it.
