 Re: inboard mudboats any good
Like some of the others said, they are great in soft bottoms and will go through any vegitation. The maintenance isn't that bad on them. As long as you keep up with it and don't let it sit up for a long period of time you will be fine.

 Re: inboard mudboats any good
they are very good as long as no hard bottom as everyone else said. also,,,don plan on fishing much with them they dont work to well since you are draggin around a big ass skeg!
many will disagree, but my mudboat with a v=6 would go through anything and drag a gator tail or prodrive whild doing it! very very effective in all but hard bottoms!!!
the only thing that has ever stopped it was when i used it to bust tranouses for my podnas family camp and when it wouldnt go forward no more just back right up and get momentum and you were good to go!!! it was bad ass cruise at about 30 easy with any load and towing whatever you want! and would run about 43mph with a 12x14 wheel. that was on a 15 custom aluminum boat.

 Re: inboard mudboats any good
I've been places in the mud boats we run on our lease a GTR and prodrive would only dream of. When you wanna go across something over something threw something they going with them 350's and 4.3 Chevys screaming. But sand that's a big negatory.

Okay thanks guys plan on just getting a 20-25hp. What size prop would a 20-25 prop take.

 Re: inboard mudboats any good
depends on strait drive or a clutch? the clutch has a reduction so it turns a much bigger prop and has a ton more power.
strait drive=stuck!!!
