Howdy, I am Justin, I moved up to the NE corner of GA and living in Kennesaw. I have a 1754 custom Gator Trax, with a 5500 sport V. I have read what people write and I have written a few things myself, BUT... GF is taking care of me. I have not had bad customer service from them. Certainly dont want to start any controversy but MB is taking care of customers, at least over the V motor issues.

Big Country here, live from NE Illinois. Currently have a 14 ft flat jon with a 9 hp beavertail. I am looking to move up to a 18ft boat and joined here because I don't know what I want and thought this would be a good resource.

Newly retired CSM from Fort Polk but back to work already. Found this site when researching why my PD might be so slow. 2008 27hp on a PD 1748 ran 13 mph yesterday with 900# load of men, dogs, and gear. I know they aren't raped apes but man what a difference from just me and my dog...

Hello all, I use to be on this site years ago and forgot my name and everything after my last deployment to afgan. That was years ago, and I believe that I went by Ranger, but honestly can't remember. Anyway I just sold my 18X44 Go-Devil with a 29 hrs Mudbuddy long tail. So I'm now informing myself before I purchase a new boat and surface drive. I still see that there is no love for "mudbuddy's", and probably rightfully so, ***** was a complete dick, and will never see another dollar from me. Anyway it's good to be back, and I'm excited to be back in the game.

New here. I live in Lafayette but will be moving back to Texas(Toledo Bend) in the summer.Currently have a 1648 Alweld flat that I bought to get out of a bind because I refused to get the transom on my Weldbilt fixed again. I only ran a 25hp on Suzuki on it. Anyways I'll be getting a mud motor soon. Then next year I'll upgrade to a mud hull and throw a cheap outboard or small longtail on this Alweld. Mainly been looking at a GTR35 and letting Gator Tail fix up my transom. Gotta get it done before my house is finished on Toledo Bend.

Hello everyone. I have been duck hunting and using boats with friends but I am looking to purchase my own boat for duck hunting the lake but I will also need it in the creeks and river near my house (deep water at high tide around 18-20 feet but shallow less than 1 foot at low tide)

I am trying to learn more about SD and LT versus a standard OB for my needs.

Thanks for the add and I am located in the Charleston SC area.

Jeremy in Baton Rouge, LA...running a 18x44 GD boat with 29 HP MBLT. Thinking about getting rid of the current rig and replacing with a center console GTSD rig. Trying to learn more about all of the different mud boat manufacturers and even the custom guys. Want a rig I can hunt and fish more comfortably from...especially since fishing season down here in the marsh is a year around affair.

Hi, I'm Dennis Willover from Martin, Michigan. Been lurking here for a while, gathering information from those of you in the know about mud motors. I've owned a 18 hp Go Devil long tail for over 25 years and for as hard as I've been on it, it has never failed me and has served me well. It sits on the back of a 30 year old beat-up riveted LOWE 1638 River Rover Jon boat that I primarily use for bow fishing. I have abused this boat as badly as you can imagine ever abusing a boat; running over logs and stumps; and with all the dents in the bottom it still doesn't leak. They built this one to be tough. But both me, and the boat and motor are getting older and it's time to change to a different motor. I bought a 1552 Legend Craft a while back and intend to put a new mud motor on the back of it. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from you guys so as to be able to make an educated decision on which motor to buy. Thank you.
