Hey guys I know some of you know my situation, but here it goes I have stage 4 prostate cancer. I just got back out of the hospital yesterday cause of it. The cancer has spread to my bones, and I could not quit hurting last Thursday. When I was 1st diganosed the cancer had already spread to my bones, thats the good thing the doc said it stays there when it goes to the bones. I have been in so much pain this weekend it was unreal. I will ask for prayers form you guys, and have a lot of the boys on Duckhunter NC/SC page doing the same. I took a friend out on my mud boat for 2 days of fishing and my left arm shoulder and elbow had already been hurting. That pushed the pain over the limit, and I wound up in the hospital with the doctors trying to work out a better pain management plan. I hope you guys who read this willl take this to heart. DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR CHECK YOU ALWAYS GO TO A UROLOGIST. my family doctor missed it till it was too late. I will go for no and thank each of you who will say a prayer for me and my family.

Heavenly Father God, I come to you with a heavy heart & tears in my eyes. Lord, be with our friend & his family in this time of need. Father God I ask that you take away his pain & heal his body. Lord, I also ask that you touch his doctors and steer them in the right direction with his treatment. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

I've been trying to respond to this thread all morning but each time I make an attempt..I get lost in thought as I try to imagine just how in the world you're able to remain modest and calm as you journey through this battle. Reading this makes me sick.

Beachbummer....It's safe to say I speak for EVERYONE on this forum by saying "Thanks!" for sharing your story with us. I also believe I speak for the great majority here by saying "God Bless You!" as you battle this terrible disease.

Almost each and every day...I frequent a number of different websites/forums were I generally engage in argumentative debate over a broad range of different topics...MMT being one of these forums. Each forum host's a set of different personalities...personalities that differ greatly in opinion and morals and professionalism and most of all...the general care and concern of other members.

Aside from the usual daily "my motor is better than your motor" niggerdom that we all participate in...many of us MMT members actually know one another aside from this forum...and would be at the assistance of another member at the drop of a hat when in need...regardless of how much we argue here. And even those we don't know...I'm sure would do the same. I know I would.

If there is anything any of us can do for you as you fight through this..please let us know. You've shared your story here with us....a forum containing over 8000 people...all of whom you've never met. You doing so has potentially saved the lives of many of us here as you've raised our awareness to the consequences of failed diagnosis. I consider you a friend for doing such.

Please be aware that ALL of us here are thinking of you..and in the back of our mind are trying to figure out what exactly we'd do if placed in your situation. What would we say? What would we do? Who would we tell? Truth is...we could never imagine what it's like unless we were forced to cope with the same thing you are.

Again...thanks for sharing your story with us. Please keep us updated to your situation and if there is ANYTHING one of us can do for you or your family...do NOT hesitate to ask. You are in mine and my family's prayers and we wish you the very best!!

God Bless you!

Very nice, Craig. I couldn't have said it better myself. Anything I can do for any member, I'm happy to do, but to know that there is "one of us" here that is going through such hardships simply breaks my heart. I think any of us would feel honored to be called upon in your time of need, Beachbummer.

Craig is correct in his entire post. If there is anything that I or we can do in your time of need do not hesitate to reach out.

Brooks summed it up "Keep fighting this"!!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Post subject:  Re: cancer

GUYS I really want to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I have had things happen since my diagnosis that are hard to explain. When I was diagnosed I got my life back where it should be. WE meaning our whole family got back in church and recommitted our lives to god. I know some of you could care less about GOD. Thats your choice, but I know he exists .I moved back to the coast after the diagnosis to be close to my grand babies. I have made it my mission to inform ANYONE who will listen about prostate cancer, and some who did not want to hear it. I like many of you are on several different sites, and I share my story with well as I said anyone. I am not looking for someone to feel sorry for me, or want to baby me. I look at this as God laid this in my lap for a reason, and I'm gonna use it to make aware the problems men face with this disease. I consider each of you a friend even though we have never met, and would go out of my way to help you if in need. I will ask one favor and that is to pray for me and my family. My wife has been here through it all and it is taking a toll on her. I hope that I change 1 life if I save 1 live I did my job. My fiat is already sealed I dont think I will make it for too long. NOW that does not mean I have give up ohh no heck I just bought a new 36 pd and had my boat redone, and bought a bretta a400 for duck season. Guys I thank you for your thoughts and prayers they help me a lot. When I come on and read your posts they touch me and make me feel better.

Thank YOU:
Todd Miller AKA beachbummer

Todd,

If you have a minute, you may wanna check out CaringBridge, if you haven't already. It's a great way to keep informed/stay in contact with distant loved ones and friends in times like this. Many of my friends and acquaintances have used it, unfortunately, but it's a great site. God Bless, buddy.
