my mud buddy is sitting to low in the water on my weld built and when i take off an get on plane its spraying water out both sides of it and its slowing my speed down a little bit and makes it hard to turn i measured my transom hight an its 16 an i measured my gator trax an its 17 should i raise my transom up or what anybody have any ideas |

Is it a tall transom motor.1in shoudnt make a big diffance.Are the boats the same size?Try raiseing it and see what happens. |

I had to have my transom raised for same reason. Picked up 2mph once I got the housing to quit dragging. I actually think my welder raised more like 2" just to be safe. |

You gotta figured in the transom angle. Just cause the transoms taller don't mean shit if it's on a steeper angle. If ya measure straight down from the top a the transom ta the bottom a yer boat by using a straight edge ta extend from yer boat I'd bet it's damn near 15". |
