Post subject:  Deep South Customs out of business?

Ordered a boat from Deep South Customs back in May, and sent a deposit to Jessie in June. After all manner of personal and business problems with Jessie and his business I was forced to cancel my order with Deep South and request my deposit back, and it has not been recieved yet. He said he sent it September 20th still haven't seen a check yet. I am 10hrs away and not easy to just run over and see Jessie about it.
I guess what I'm saying is their anyone else out there that has an order in with DSC that has this same problem? If so please PM me. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

What can sheriff do? It's a Civil Matter. Attorney is needed.

No doubt both will be done... If the deposit is not retuned its a felony that's a large sum money.. Basically stealing.

Docott is still waiting on his deposit also. Not sure, if its best to file suit individually or together.

I never said anything CO.. It is what it is.. Ive talked to Jesse multiple times and even had plans of having him build me a boat (and before any of you smartass chime in and say something along the lines of me not beng financially equipped to do so can kiss my ass, I had enough for a boat and motor when I had plans for a new boat). Unfortunately, he wasent able to keep his word very well with some things, and I could see right then and there he just want able to commit to certain things. Jesse seems like a real good guy, and I doubt whats happening is intentional. It just seems there are some things he's unable to commit to or handle.. I hope everything works out for you guys..

All of these people being arrested for fraud for taking monies from homeowners, only to never provide any services were arrested by the Sheriff for fraud. Not a judge.

If this guy is receiving money from folks under the premise that a service or product will be delivered, only to never deliver, it is fraud.

Were this an isolated incident, I'd agree with you.

However, the guy above now makes several folks that I know of who have been shafted by paying for a boat, yet have never received it.

I don't know the statutes for your state, but here in Alabama a Theft of Property (by deception) case could be done. The Warrant Magistrate would ultimately decide if a warrant would be issued. If not I would procede through Civil court (contact a lawyer). You may be able to do the case by telephone (depends on the agency). Can't hurt to call them.

When I ordered my GT rig, I was only asked for a $500.00 deposit.

And that was for a custom boat.

He's owed me money since last year, I ended up giving up. If he says 'my wife's dropping check in the mail', don't listen. Y'all remember all those custom billet name plates I made for his boats last year? Not a dime paid
